Mugs
Mugs are one of my favorite things to make. We use them so much in our every day lives and we allow them to enter the depths of our comforts. Enjoy!
Baskets
My curiosity often gets peaked when I decide to think "outside the box" when it comes to wheel thrown pieces. This is what happens.
Platters
These pieces often give me the most glazing enjoyment next to making bowls. The wide open shape allows the glaze to pool, run, and transform the piece in a very unique way.
Cups
These pieces are something I've been working on recently. Believe it or not, I use a vegetable peeler and a screw to make these. Also, I think they each have their own personalities.
Side-Firing
This technique allows me to lay the pieces horizontally in the kiln. Gravity then pulls the glazes around the sides of the pieces and collect on the "front." I enjoy this method of firing because it allows me to yield almost all control over the glazing process.
Wood Fired
Wood fired pieces vary in how long they are fired, but what they all have in common is that they are one of a kind. The minerals in the wood ash melt onto the pots and often form their own glazes. Some of the pieces in this gallery do not have a single glaze applied to them!
The Mini
Every now and then Ill do something small. I decided to make these to get a better grasp on using every bit of clay I can while throwing.
Sets and Plates
This is the dinner set I made for Kari, as well as the pitcher and basin I used for her proposal.
Wedding/Gift Registry
This album contains hand-made custom pottery for showers, weddings, and other events. The color combinations are interchangeable as well. Feel free to contact me to order.

Josh,
Thanks for all the great information today at the Brickyard. Looking over your gallery is convincing me to switch from Indianapolis Art Center to your classes. I really want to know about different ways to fire and get the colors I’m looking for. I may also bring up to 4 people with me, Ruth (You sold her a lot today), Joe Holloway and Janet Nelson. Glazes and colors are what we are about. Keep us informed.

josh, enjoyed talking with you the other day. I just put a bunch of stuff in the kiln withlayers of Fire brick and other misc. Do you ever give classes other than Sat? I live 2 hrs away but am really interested in larger pieces , and glazing techniques. I am left handed. Should I learn to throw right handed. I have done it some and it isn’t too difficult, so I can use a throwing stick. Pat

I love your work here. It is attractive and inviting. I have always loved pottery and wish I could bring them back to where we liven in Pakistan, but that’s not possible.
It’s pretty rare when somebody can live out his dreams as you are doing. May God bless your hands and life to serve Him in all you do.
P.S. Your little one is really cute.
